We travelled all over Sardinia island and spent three wonderful days here. During our travels we have never found such beautiful accommodation as here. The view!!!, the cosy and clean accommodation, the well-kept surroundings that were in harmony with nature. I loved our little house with the veranda the most, it had such flair and style. The lady was so very nice, helped us with everything whenever she could. The pool was absolutely TOP. And the breakfast, OMG, without a single mistake.
Girl in the reception was kind when we arrived and looks like a cozy place to stay but i felt a bit disapointed staying here one night... no wifi in the rooms.. . Told the girl in reception about it, and she told me there are no rooms with wifi. Only availible in the commons areas, and even there the wificonnection was not good. They should have wrote this on the website.
In the morning i was resting in bed and just outside my room the cleaninglady used my windowshelf (the window was open) to have her cleaningstuff on and also she had a loud walkietalkie/radio standing there. Could not rest for a long time... very annoying.
Anyway i was ecxited to eat their breakfast they talked very good about it with diffrent cheeses, but they only served one cheese formaggio :( , pizza and sweets /cookies etc.. but the worst was all the flies at the food on the breakfast buffet. I lost my appetite but took a boiled egg instead, but it was overboiled and green, so i didnt eat anything this morning. Felt very bad to pay alot of money for this. No compensation, nothing.
S'Ozzastru is a weird place. It is not bad per se. Its biggest flaw is the idea conveyed by their website and the photos they post, which is quite far from reality. To me, this is the most unforgivable mistake one can make as owner of a hospitality business (note: I used to work in hospitality marketing).
You should not expect luxury but a rather spartan place. Flat terrain to park your camper van is scarce, so you'll need to get creative with your parking wedges. Loading and unloading of black and grey waters is tricky, but possible nonetheless. There is a single hole in the ground for both purposes. If your camper has two unloading holes, you'll need heavy maneuvering. The biggest flaw, though, is having to use the same hose for rinsing black waters and filling your water tank. They should know better. Electricity is available for campers and tents. In general, I wouldn't recommend the place if you travel with a camper or RV, as the access is not as easy as some claim and, unless you also bring a second vehicle, you'll be pretty much locked from visiting nearby places (e.g. Cala Gonone).
The pool area is by far the nicest part (which is why it gets so much attention in their website in comparison to the camper spots). The dinner and breakfast, while good, are not worth the spend. Food is served into tiny tables and you cannot take it to your spot (at least if you booked for a camper). If you want a drink, you need to go buy it to the pool bar, although they will serve you fresh water.
Farm animals are present in the surrounding area. This is sold as an asset somehow, but the donkeys still scream loudly in the middle of the night. Nice views and friendly staff. I can see how some people might like this kind of experience, it's just that they are selling a different thing. All in all, this review would have been way more positive if their marketing wasn't so misleading.
Amazing place !
Beautiful view on the mountains, beautiful pool area,
2 more things that made the stay great : people were absolutely lovely and the breakfast was amazing ( lots of homemade food )
The pool is amazing, kids loved spend time in the area. Very nice setup, lots of shade for everyone and a bar open from 9 to 21.
A family friendly Agriturismo that is located in the mountains with stunning mountain view and more surprising a sea view. They have rooms as well as campsites. So even with the tent or with the camper you are welcome here. We stayed with …
This place is so special! We went on low season and it was so relaxing and quiet. The breakfast was incredible so I wished they had a restaurant opened for dinner judging by their breakfast we would have loved to eat at their restaurant but …
I do not understand the word agriturismo I guess, but that was what we were looking for. In that respect S' Ozzastru has that image on the internet with pics of local people preparing real italian food etc. but at arrival I was told that this is only occasionally. We were disappointed about that. But if you read the website properly, it is what S Ozzastru says about this on the internet. I should have read better! They recommended us two restaurants nearby (if you have a car) and those places were fantastic. So issue solved :)
The breakfast is good for 3 stars, which they are. It can be upgraded to four easily in my opinion if someone makes you the tea or coffee and have a chat with guests (maybe a personal thing ;) instead of the noisy machine, serve more fruit (only watermelon every day), offer less but of a higher standard (Tiramisu with whipped cream from a supermarket or something).
Why we liked S' Ozzastru a lot: the people working there are so friendly and helpful with planning trips, advising you, even making call for you. The atmosphere is so nice and quiet, fantastic pool area and such a nice barista! So we would recommend the place, although to us it is more a holiday resort than an agriturismo and in high season the value for money is not perfect. But that is everywhere....
We had a nice and warm welcome to S Ozzastru. They showed us the place and they offered us to pick our favoured place to stay with our camper.
You can enjoy the nice view and the nice Pool area with friendly stuff.
Negative to mention is that the toilets could not be locked and campers arrived after 10 p.m., who of course made noise until everything was prepared. Not that big Problem but if Kids are awake afterwards it is not that nice.
What is definitely a no go is to adjust the price per night without informing us while extending for a night. €35 a night in June is not worth it for parking without a free camper service.
Frederica welcomed us very nicely. We parked our camper van just in front of the playground because we wanted to be close to it. Nevertheless it would have been nice to tell us, that there are many really nice spots on the farm. We probably …
